ROOTS. 2023 Wrap Up
30+ flights, 25K camera clicks, 400+ stories, and 625K+ ❤️ later, 2023 is coming to an end and we couldn’t be prouder of the Rootlers and the dedication put into every project this year.
We kicked off the year with a little update to our very own branding and digital presence, launching our new look and website a couple of months into the year.
One of this year’s first projects took us on a trip to the USA with Coryton to support them in introducing their new sustainable performance fuel to the US market. ROOTS. was asked to conduct a thorough market research of the USA motorsports industry and investigate the appetite for sustainable fuel solutions and sustainability awareness among USA motorsport stakeholders. Our Rootlers went through weeks of research, which included primary and secondary data sources, more than 13 hours of in-person meetings with key US motorsports stakeholders and created a detailed brand brochure.
In between email campaigns, PR events and launches, we activated the Wolf Lubricants X WRC partnership. Joining distributors, drivers, and brand reps in Sardinia, we curated social media content, led the local fan activation and brand amplification, and storyboarded, produced and delivered video and photo content, launching our Wolf YouTube series: Drive your Progress ep.1-3.
From the crystalline seas of Sardinia, we took off to Dublin. At ROOTS., we are passionate about gifting dedicated time each year to projects that make a positive impact in the community, and so we joined Merchants Quay Ireland in creating a new brand for Jane’s Place, an organisation that offers a safe space and support to women in difficulty. Brand mission, vision, values, colours, fonts, and brand guidelines complete, we’re now ready to apply the brand in the new space which will open in 2024.
ROOTS. then took a trip back to the future at the British retro auto event Goodwood Revival. We pulled out our best vintage outfits, and conceptualised, budgeted, organised, and produced the onsite activation of Sustain Classics Fuels, even bringing the 1981 DeLorean DMC-12s along with us.
We took logistics company GCS Logistics on a sustainability journey to guide them through the Ecovadis certification submission process, an accreditation which rates the company’s adherence to CSR standards. After a deep dive into the company, its values, processes and progress made thus far, surveys, reports, and ESG goals analysis, GCS Logistics proudly received the Silver Ecovadis certification on its first entry.etc etc etc (Gold Ecovadis status achieved!)
The experienced team behind new, sustainable co-living brand Live & Co leant on ROOTS. to support with their brand values, mission, vision, values, and website copy. On behalf of the Ziser family business, we worked with Rohan Silva, founder of Second Home, we curated a brand identity that embodied Guy Ziser’s visionary approach to modern, flexible, and accessible co-living.
Later into the year, a new rebranding project was on the cards for us. We gave Worldwide Book Services (now WBS) a completely new look and communications style, mission, vision, brand assets and a completely new website.
Our long standing client, Woodland Group, asked us to design, write, visualise, build, and launch a new website for the entire Group. Months of research, mapping, reworking, analysing, partnering with excellent web design and SEO agencies from across the globe, copywriting, reviewing, optimising and a multi-day photoshoot later, the new Woodland website in both US and UK/European format is now live.
Throughout the year, we stood by the side of Ford Performance, curated their WRC social presence and designed headline posters for each rally.
2024 will be no joke either! We’ll be starting the year as we mean to go on - with the 2024 Dakar Rally. The ROOTS. team is journeying all the way to Saudi Arabia to bring to life Ford Performance's first-ever participation in the world’s toughest rally.
