A New Online Presence for Woodland Group
After more than 7 years of continuous marketing, communications, design, and content production support and the initiation of its sustainability journey in line with Woodland Group's global expansion, the leading global independent supply chain company once again turned to ROOTS. to embark on a new challenge.
This time, they entrusted us with the task of revamping their online presence and crafting a new website that would reflect the company's growth, expansive solution offering and offer an easy-to-navigate user experience in line with Woodland’s continuously growing digital presence.
The Challenge
As Woodland Group evolved over the years, incorporating additional services and achieving new business milestones, the existing website became overly convoluted and impossible to navigate effectively. While visually appealing, its navigational challenges prevented users from understanding what services Woodland Group was able to deliver and for website content to be easily updated and added to. Our primary objective was clear: to completely restructure the website to ensure user-friendly navigation and seamless functionality, while holding onto the origins of Woodland Group.
In addition to restructuring, we were tasked with giving the website a fresh aesthetic and a new communication style that aligned with the company's vision and branding. This included a comprehensive approach covering photography, design, strategy, functionalities, copy, and content
The solution
We decided to bring onboard an excellent New York-based design and web development agency as well as a London-based SEO agency to create a new digital framework and design, and code the new company website. Meanwhile, we managed and created all the content, photography, copywriting, structural enhancements, and managed the strategic planning as well as all stakeholders.
Our aim was to create a user-friendly site that enables easy navigation, allowing visitors to swiftly find desired information while highlighting Woodland Group's history, achievements, and business milestones.
The ROOTS. Team ventured on-site to capture original content, ranging from corporate-style photography to dynamic shots of vans, warehouses, and aerial views using drones. Thanks to the meticulous curation of shot lists, image treatments, and equipment choices made by our skilled Rootlers, we captured the essence of Woodland Group and brought to life the website with real Woodlanders.
To complement the website content, we undertook end-to-end production of promotional and HR videos showcasing Woodland’s key services and roles. From pre-production to live shooting, including set building, VFX, and post-production, all aspects were handled in-house by our ROOTS. creative team.
We crafted entirely new, industry-specific, and SEO-friendly copy for each page and section of the website. From service descriptions to press releases, we established a new copy structure and overview for Woodland Group. To complete the communication strategy, we developed a detailed multichannel communications plan updated monthly to adapt to business changes and requirements.
